"Plus Drill" is an exercise often used by top marching bands and drum corps that works specifically on 90 degree direction changes and primary direction changes (front to back and back to front).

V drill"V Drill" is an exercise often used by top marching bands and drum corps that works specifically on shallow angle direction changes.  Students line up in ranks of 4 on the yardlines 12 steps behind the front sideline.  Students step off every 4 counts and after all have stepped off the form makes a pattern of a "V" on the feild.  At the end of the exercise (tell the performers how many yardlines they will move over) each performer will close and then get out of the way of the next person.  (Each yardline traveled will take 24 counts).
