The goal of this article is to express various ways TO CREATE A HOMOGENOUS, CLEAR, BLENDED ENSEMBLE COLOR WHERE THE SUM OF THE WHOLE IS GREATER THAN THE PARTS.  A HOLISTIC APPROACH CREATES CLARITY OF INTENT WITHIN THE MUSIC ENSEMBLE. ENSEMBLE CLARITY IS BASED ON: COMPOSITION AND ORCHESTRATION, VERTICAL ALIGNMENT, and BALANCE.
