If you're one of the many music teachers beginning to realize the tremendous affect that emerging technology can have on your program, you'll be excited to know about a new web based administration tool built specifically for music teachers. uTutti.com, created by director/composer Alex Yoder, is an online program that allows music teachers to manage student information, grades, inventory, finances, fees, fundraisers, parent communication, events, email, and more from one easy to use system. It allows integration of student information from popular music education technologies such as SmartMusic, and it provides each teacher with their own public website for their music program - an important tool for communicating with today's students and their families. Students and parents can log in to their own personal account to instantly view information on grades, financial balances, assigned inventory, and more.

Music teachers are notoriously some of the busiest teachers in the school, but with new web technologies like uTutti, those same teachers will find that they spend less time in the office with spreadsheets, and more time planning and teaching. In other words, more time spent on education rather than clerical work - and isn't that what we all got into this field for in the first place?
